Born into the renowned Duraiappa Nadar Group of Companies, Mr. Vijayabaskaran inherited a rich legacy of entrepreneurship rooted in the lime and allied industries. Following a family business partition in 2010, he chose to carve his own path—fuelled by a mission to produce high-quality, locally manufactured products for India’s growing infrastructure, agriculture, and environmental sectors.
In 2010, he founded Thangam Lime Products, focusing on high-purity lime and mineral-based solutions for agriculture and industry. Two years later, in 2012, he launched Dakshin Pipes, specializing in durable and efficient PVC pipes and fittings. By 2014, he expanded further with Ajay Ultrafine Minerals, offering a comprehensive range of lime-based and mineral products including quick lime, hydrated lime, calcite, dolomite, and chalk powder—serving plantations, construction projects, and sewage treatment facilities.
